What is a scuba flag? Commonly refered to as a scuba flag, the name is actually "diver down flag". The flag is used to designate that a diver is in the water. It is red with a white strip that runs diagonally from the top left to bottom right. Boats use a blue and white alpha scuba flag to signal that they are engaged in diving operations.

The famous oceanographer Jacques Cousteau along with Emile Gagnan invented the aqualung in 1943, now commonly referred to as scuba - Self Contained Underwater Breathing Apparatus.

Scuba allowed divers extremely mobile and also revolutionized exploration of the oceans.

Since the invention in 1943, many advances have taken place in scuba technology. The gear and equipment have become easier to use, safer, and more affordable. SCUBA gear & equipment has opened up the once mostly unexplored underwater world, allowing many people to enjoy, and explore. Scuba has created the ability to enjoy fascinating adventures.
